Boeing aims to launch Starliner crewed mission in May
First astronaut mission for NASA set for May 6, 2024
Boeing is targeting May 6, 2024, for the launch of its first-ever crewed Starliner astronaut mission for NASA. The mission, known as Starliner-1, will mark a significant milestone in Boeing's efforts to develop a commercial crew transportation system for NASA.
Second launch attempt for Atlas V rocket
The Starliner-1 mission will be launched on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The launch was originally scheduled for July 30,2021, but was postponed due to a technical issue with the rocket's upper stage engine.
