Acute Bronchitis

An uncomplicated acute bronchitis typically lasts for several days to two weeks. If the condition persists for more than seven to ten days, it may indicate a change in the underlying disease process.

Viral Origins

Acute bronchitis is commonly caused by viruses. Symptoms may include:

• Chest pain or discomfort
• Wheezing
• Fatigue
• Fever (in some cases)
