Wildfires Prompt Xcel Energy Power Outages
Customers should be ready for Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)
Due to the increased risk of wildfires, public safety power shutoffs (PSPS) may be implemented. These outages are done to help reduce the possibility of wildfires and protect lives and property.
During a PSPS, electricity may be turned off for an extended period of time. Residents should be prepared and have a plan in place to reduce inconvenience and stay safe during an outage.
